Fields: Add Language

Lets you create a new language file based on a language file that currently exists in your Portfolio system.

Displays > Language Files > Add Language

Language Code

Specifies the language code for the new language file.

Note: The code must match one of the codes in the IANA Language Subtag Registry (www.iana.org/protocols/). If the code you enter doesn’t match one of the IANA subtags, Portfolio will prompt you to enter a valid code.

Base Language

Specifies the language on which to base the new language file. The options include all of the languages currently listed in Manage Language File. Portfolio makes a copy of the language file you select, which becomes the file you start with for the new language file.
